Budget Trip From Budapest to Sardinia

Hello Summer! Sunny skies and not a cloud in sight. My family enjoyed our time in Sardinia on a budget. Here’s how.

Direct flights just opened up with Ryanair. And with white sand beaches and not those European beaches with rocks, we we’re in heaven.

We moved to Budapest to travel around Europe for cheap and see different parts of the world. For my birthday I love going to the beach. Last year we went to Romania and the year before we went to Greece for my birthday!

We used skyscanner and literally put in the search fields Budapest to anywhere. We wanted to travel in May or June so we kept the dates wide open. We went through the search options and saw that Sardinia is an island, and had the cheapest flights. Boom that’s how we picked it.

I’m not picky. I just need sunshine, beach fun, and I want to see as many places in the world as possible. It was just a bonus that it happened to be a white sand beach… perfect for my toddler

My friend told me about a resort city and used booking.com to book our accommodations

A rental car is a must on the island, and so we booked the car in advanced and decide to bring our baby car seat with us to save on daily rental fees.

We stocked up the fridge with breakfast items, made sandwiches for lunches on the beach and yummy snacks.

While I did make dinner 1 night, we did go out for dinner in the village. With a toddler we were always the first at the restaurant promptly at 6 pm. It was like clockwork. By 7pm we paid for the check. By 715 we were eating gelato. And back to the room for pjs storytime and 830 bedtime!

And yes, we also had gelato every single day!! That is a must in Italy.

We even took a break from the beach and the beaming sun to check out an ancient civilization.

From budget airlines, to finding accommodations where you can cook, traveling on a budget can be easy to do when in Sardinia.

Paradise awaits you!
